On behalf of Cheltenham and District Riding Club may I welcome you to this, the Area 18 Qualifier for the BRC Winter Dressage Championships at Hartpury College. We hope you have an enjoyable and successful day.
This is the 2nd Year we at CDRC have organised this qualifier and this year we are privileged to have the use of the new “Hartpury Arena” to enable us to run the event in a single day. Our thanks go to Hartpury and their staff for the use of this fantastic facility.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to all those who have given freely of their time in helping to organise and run this event particularly those on the CDRC committee who have put in many hours of hard work in the preceding months. Without volunteers such as these, Riding Club events could not take place.
My thanks also go to all the teams, their Captains and helpers for the work you have put in, in preparation for today and trust that all this hard work will result in an enjoyable day for everyone and success for some.
In the current difficult economic climate competitions such as these put a financial strain on both competitors and Clubs alike. We are fortunate to be able to hold this event in such a prestigious facility, without significantly increasing entry fees, due to the generosity of a number of companies and individuals. These people, despite the economy, have made financial contributions towards the expense of this event in return for which we have included their details in this brochure. I would ask that you read their adverts and if you are in the market for any of their products/ services you give them consideration.
