Awards Night & Social Celebration

Annual General Meeting
Those of you who have been members of the club for a while know will know we hold an annual general meeting (AGM) which everyone is invited to attend, traditionally we have provided some food and drinks and we've piled into a village hall and gone through proceedings, including the giving of awards, well we on the committee decided we wanted to do things a bit differently this year!
You wont have failed to notice some significant changes within the club in the past 12 months and we wanted to reflect this in a move away from our usual gathering and instead we have gone for a glamorous Members Awards Evening with our AGM at the start of the evening.
This will be held on: Friday 15th October 2010
Venue: Newlands Park, Southam Lane, Cheltenham GL523PE
Starting: 7.30pm (AGM 7.30pm - 8pm)
There will be a cost of £16 per attendee or 2 tickets for £30, go on bring your other half! which includes, a hot buffet and a DJ for the night, in return we will be offering an all round social gathering, and a glamorous awards evening, with fun and anecdotes to amuse us all! The dress code is smart casual, but we don't expect ball gowns (unless you want to!)
Tickets must be purchased in advance so please send a cheque payable to 'CDRC' to Miss C Evans, Townsend Farm, Winstone, Nr Cirencester Glos GL7 7JZ
There will be no charge for those wishing to attend only the AGM, and not stay for the Social Celebration & Awards Evening, and you are welcome to do so but we ask that you let Nicky Norfolk know (info@cheltenhamridingclub.co.uk) as we need to know how many to accommodate at the venue.
But of course it wont be an awards night without some nominees for the awards......... you may recall in May's newsletter we asked for suggestions for categories for awards and we did get some suggestions, so on the back page of here you will find the nomination form.
Nomination forms should be returned back to Dawn Allen by Sunday 5th September so it gives you plenty of time to see all the results from the competitions this summer and make up your mind who you want to vote for. We will also ensure a supply of nomination forms at all CDRC training and events so don't be surprised if we ask you to do a nomination form where ever you go, the plan is to motivate each and every member to nominate this year and make this a truly encompassing inaugural
awards ceremony and a very special club night.
So............. please please do get involved, the form is also available on the website for submission electronically – don't ask me how, the wonders of modern technology (Oh and Nicky Norfolk!)
We would love to see as many of you there as possible on the night and we hope this will become our annual social gathering and celebration of all the hard work and effort we all make over the year, recognising our successes and encouraging social interactions with all members.
You are welcome to bring partners or non members along on the night, I'm sure they too play a huge part in your ability to enjoy the club and the activities as well, you might even think they deserve an award – so nominate them in the relevant categories!.
The rules of nominating are on the form, we look forward to receiving you entries! Who knows maybe you will be nominated and you might even win!
A list of nominees will be circulated with the Newsletter sent out at the end of September, all winners will be announced on the night, so if you're nominated you should definitely come along!
